After working in advertising for 10+ years, I have a renewed love of teaching and freelancing since joining the Visual Communications faculty at the University of Kansas. I grew up in Kansas, but I cultivated my obsession with coffee and ramen while working in San Francisco before jumping to the East Coast. After completing my MFA in Graphic Design from the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore, I stayed on at MICA to teach graphic design before joining the Ad community in Kansas City.
I’m currently enjoying the delights of navigating being a perfectly imperfect woman of color, staying present as a mom, and keeping my creative fires going as a professional hobbyist.
